(Public view only) The web setup wizard for events allows you to configure events and functions for online registration. You can access the setup wizard in two ways.
■ From System Setup, select Set up events web components > Event setup, and select an event.
■ From Events, select Define an event, select or create an event, and click More > Web Setup Wizard.
You must log on as a user with rights to the Administrator or EventCoordinator security key to perform Event setup.
Understanding Event setup steps
You complete the tabs in the sequence given and click Next to proceed. First, you set up an Options page; at the end, you review a Summary page. This list encompasses all the tabs available and summarizes the options you set for each.
■ Options: Determines which general information to enable or require from registrants.
■ Reg. Steps: Allows the administrator to assign specific steps for the registration process.
■ Registrant: Determines which prompts to use to gather contact information about a registrant.
■ Func. Groups: Determines which functions are in Function Groups to ensure that people are registered for assigned functions. These assignments are only needed for functions not defined with the "Automatic Option" in iMIS Desktop view.
■ Guest: Determines which general information to enable or require concerning guests.
■ Survey: Allows the administrator to ask questions and select answer types.
■ Summary: Offers remaining miscellaneous options.
Note: The documentation might not match your product. Your organization can customize iMIS, license fewer features, or limit your security access, all of which affect the fields that you see in the product interface. Moreover, the documentation does not cover every window or window element. Windows and fields that are clearly defined in the product interface itself, or that should otherwise be intuitive, are not described in the documentation.
Public view administrators can use the Setup web components task list on the System Setup feature to configure items for the Public view including labels for the various areas of the site and email and graphics settings.
